“Air Label Score” becomes the international certification “Air Label Score”
-
Air Label Score becomes Air Label Score: the international certification that guarantees the non-toxicity of products in the air.
-
After some recurring observations, we understood that we could have a new name which would be more intelligible by consumers. We wanted to share with you the reasons for this change:
- We have very often received feedback that consumers, certified companies and the press remember the Air Label certification brand and talk about "airlabelled" products.
- We noticed a growing demand for a single international label for different languages and markets.
- We wanted to bring an increased understandability of the certification.
- Since 2019, we have been witnessing an increased awareness of the nutri-score and other similar systems, which has led us to move as well towards a scoring system.
We have thus decided to slightly improve the name of our certification for a better understanding. We aim to make it clear to consumers that our mission is to offer them the best information on the non-toxicity of products in the air.
We did some research to find this new name: some focus groups, qualitatives and quantitative studies. The results were overwhelming. We are therefore happy to share with you this new name: Air Label Score. We thank all consumers that helped us at this stage, as well as all the other stakeholders.
We also note that consumers are very familiar with the design of our label, and therefore recognize the new certification right away. The two certifications will therefore coexist during a transition phase.
In a nutshell, the benefits of the new names are:
- A stronger and even more consistent brand image.
- A better public understanding.
- A more global message on the toxicity of products in the air.
- An even more international label, with one single name for all markets.
- More in line with the scoring systems known by consumers.
- More in line with feedback from the press & consumers.
We wanted to remind that only the name will change. Of course, our mission —protect public health— will remain the same.
